The Details

IMG_2175The thigh and wrist cuff set has been wonderful. The cuffs themselves are beyond comfortable and more versatile than we originally thought. The neoprene is smooth against the skin, and will not pinch like metal cuffs or rope. With the combination of rings and clasps they can be hooked to each other in a number of ways, including to beds and other attachment point that suits your needs. The thigh cuffs are fully adjustable up to 25” in diameter and slip around your thigh before tightening down with the plastic strap adjuster. The wrist cuffs simply Velcro around the wrist as necessary up to 10.5” in diameter. The wrist cuffs are identical to the 4 that are attached to the bondage bar, sharing the same nylon/neoprene construction.

Use

When bondage first intrigued us, the first thing we did was get some rope and hit the internet for some bondage guides. If you are not familiar with knots, beginning rope bondage can be a little daunting, as well as time consuming when the mood strikes. We could never tie the rope quite right and we were able to break out very easily, which sorta defeated the point of bondage. The bondage kit and bar allowed for us to have fun with restraints but in a more beginner friendly manner.

It managed to do exactly what we wanted in 1/5 of the time it took us to get all set up with a little bit of rope. Not to mention, the options are endless with the bondage kit. Combined with the addition of the Bondage Bar it has really increased the amount of bondage positions we are able to try and due to the easy setup we have actually used it a lot more. Nothing hinders use quite like difficulty getting started.

The thigh cuffs allow you to tie the thighs spread apart, and unlike typical ankle cuffs which still allow the knees to come together these really do hold the legs apart for the best access. We tend to use the Magic Wand a lot, nearly every time we have sex the wand makes an appearance. Combined with bondage the Magic Wand becomes a whole new level of fun.

The bondage bar is less versatile than our cuff set but has shown to be equally useful and even more convenient as it is only one piece. When attached to the wrist and ankles, it will hold your partner in a very accessible doggy style position, bent over at the waist if used standing, or a position similar to leap frog. Doggy has been our go to and we have the found that the bondage bar actually has made doggy style more comfortable by holding her at an angle much more conducive to penetration.

Overall we are really glad to have them now and use them more than we thought. The best way to get someone to use or do anything is to make it convenient. That echoes through nearly every aspect of life and has certainly rung true when it came to bondage in our relationship. It went from a time sink of knots and rope bundles to neoprene and Velcro in a jiffy. Both the thigh and wrist cuff set as well as the bondage bar are excellent additions to our ever growing collection and one we recommend to anyone interested in trying out bondage in a simple and comfortable manner.

Material

Bondage Bar

The Sportsheets bondage bar is made of Polypropylene webbing similar to what is used for backpack straps, within the webbing is a fiberglass “bar” to maintain ridgedity, with 4 neoprene cuffs with standard Velcro closure. Attachments points are nickel free rings and swivel hooks.

Thigh and Wrist Cuffs

The cuffs are neoprene where they meet the skin, with a stronger polypropylene webbing outside. The mechanism in which to loosen or tighten the thigh cuffs is a standard strap adjuster made of plastic, like you would find to tighten your backpack whereas the wrist cuffs use standard velcro. Attachments points are nickel free rings and swivel hooks
