We have reviewed quite a few artisan dildos from simple to elaborate. The Funkit Series 2 X is a ribbed dildo that measures in at nice 1.6” diameter, with a texture that is efficient and simple. According to the listing of the toy, it is stated as 1.9”, I was unable to measure any point larger 1.65” along the entire shaft using a digital caliper.
A couple things we noticed when first handling the toy. First, we love the yellow color. Not many toys come in yellow. Second was the prominent texture to the toy. Unlike a lot of other toys there is an apparent 3d print texture to the toy. These haven’t affected anything in use but worth mentioning. Lastly, there were quite a few bubbles and air pockets in the base. Again does not affect use, but worth mentioning.
The toy is simple, generic, and made of 100% platinum cure silicone. Which is exactly what it sets out to be. So kudos to Funkit!
Use
I was excited to get my hands on a large 1.9” dildo with some texture, and all of that for $40, at RGN Toys what a deal. But as soon as you get it in your hand, I could tell that was a bit of overestimate. I like most people hold true to the numbers when ordering and would be a little disappointed to be that far off. The difference between 1.6” and 1.9” in my personal use is a lot. On a brighter note the yellow is bright and fun, and the texture is consistent and effective.
The 7” length lends itself well for harness compatibility, but I do wish the base was a little more even and substantial. One once side of the toy the base is nearly .5” thick, but on the other it is closer to .1” leaving a little less support than I want.
The glossy silicone lubes up with ease, and the Series 2 X thrives when thrusted. The ripples down the shaft are stimulating without being overwhelming. But unlike some are of other textured toys the X series is lacking a G/P-Spot targeting head or tip. A simple change that could have taken this toy up a few notches and made that much better for us.
I can’t really fault the toy for lacking in some categories. The Nofrilldo Series of toys is meant to be exactly that, No Frills. What they lack in intricacies they make up for with a solid price point and quality materials. We love supporting small artisan makers and Kenton at Funkit is doing great work bringing quality body safe toys to the market.
Cleaning Instructions
The 100% Ultra Premium Silicone used is nothing but quality. As with any silicone toy the options are plentiful when it comes to cleaning. We like to follow the guideline set out by Tantus inc.:
For a quick clean, use antibacterial soap with warm to hot water, or use a toy cleaner (one without Triclosan!).
For a more extensive clean, you can boil your toy for 2 minutes, with enough water to cover. You can also spray or rinse your product in a 10% bleach solution. Do NOT boil bleach.
To clean toys with grooves, crevices, and texture, you may put your product in the dishwasher on a regular cycle on the bottom rack.
Let air dry, or clean with a lint free cloth.
