It was a true holiday miracle, as I was offered to review the Fleshlight Flight (Pilot) from the wonderful people over at Fleshlight Inc. This being our first toy centered on penile stimulation, I have to say I was excited to try something new.

The Details

The Flight is a newer model, designed to be smaller, lighter, and more discrete than the original version that most people are familiar with. Upon first sight, I would have to say it did not look like a sex toy, in fact it looked eerily familiar to this automatic air freshener we used to have by our front door. It is fairly light and easy to hold in my hand. Although I do not own an Original Fleshlight, I have to say they look a bit more cumbersome than the Flight. For those who are familiar with Fleshlight’s offerings you would know they offer a vast number of options from the look of the orifice such as a vulva, mouth, or butt, as well as the internal texture with a varying range of stimulation. The Flight series does not have as many options, coming in only two textures and a single discrete orifice design. We were offered the Pilot version which texture is described as “…Incorporating a number of texture (bumps, finger, ribs) and canal width changes that will have you flying to new heights”. For a person who is new to masturbation sleeves I would have to say it does add excitement over the usual manual stimulation, and now  that we find ourselves part time in a long distance situation it is seeing a lot of use.

Use

In use, the Flight lives up to the hype. When first receiving the product I would have to say I was a bit apprehensive to how often I would use it. Seeing as it adds another clean up step to a normally simple event, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Since first receiving the Flight as well as a Fleshlight Go which will be reviewed in the future, I would have to say they see use about 80% of my time solo. What they add in clean up time they more than make up for in adding to a more pleasurable and unique experience.

During use I cannot discern what texture is happening where, only that what is happening feels very nice. Thanks to the transparent material used, it is easy to see what is happening inside texture wise. The pilot texture begins with tiny nubs, a narrowing of the canal where it then opens into a larger chamber full of larger nubs, before ending in wave of ridges. All of these seem to work very well together, and although I can’t tell where I am at in the Flight or what texture is doing what, it creates a unique sensation that is wonderful to use.

The Flight is capped on either end: one to expose the entrance and a second cap to adjust the level of suction the Flight provides. When fully closed it really does grip, and slows down the speed in which you can stroke. Opening up the cap allows for a faster experience with less of the suction feel, with adjustability to anywhere in between.

Once done cleaning is a cinch, and much easier than I thought it would be. Simply open both caps, remove the inner sleeve, and let the faucet flow warm water through the canal. Lay out the parts to air dry before reassembling. Pro-tip: If your girlfriend is a weirdo than she would like to play with the clean mushy sleeve before you reassemble it.

Overall I would have to say it is a great product, a wonderful toy and a great experience for our first penetrable toy.

Care and Maintenance

Fleshlight mentions the following cleaning instructions for their products:

“Simply rinse your removable Fleshlight Sleeve with warm water from your sink and allow time for it to dry before storing. Do NOT use soap to clean your SuperSkin Sleeve. For tough cleaning, we suggest using our Fleshwash, specifically formulated to clean our sleeves. To maintain that soft feel, sprinkle a liberal amount of Fleshlight Renewing Powder on the sleeve and shake off the excess powder. We do NOT recommend the use of talcum or baby powder. NOTE: Powdering an Ice Fleshlight masturbation sleeve with anything other than Fleshlight Renewing Powder or corn starch will cause it to cloud over and lose its clear “ice” quality.”

As for other Fleshlight maintenance, they do not recommend the use of Oil based lubricants, as it will cause the degradation of the material. Recommending instead that you stick with water based lubricants. We have been using Sliquid Botanicals Gel and it has been working perfectly, and we highly recommend it.
