The Details

The Severin Super Soft plug is part of their new super soft line of products. Not only is the Super Soft Silicone wonderful to the touch, it now comes in wonderful copper color. The Severin comes in 3 sizes and we will be reviewing the medium. Standing 5” tall, 4.4” of which are insertable, the medium Severin is defined by two distinct bulges and crowned under a narrow .8” tip. Working your way down the plug you are met with the first bulge bringing the diameter to 1.5”, before expanding into the second bulge at 2”.

These bulges are effective in creating that stretching feeling upon insertion, and the overall large size keeps you feeling full when full inserted. Despite the larger size of this plug it is comfortable, due to the softer silicone it feels smaller than it is. The diameter of the neck is 1.25” but due to the squishy nature of the plug it is barely felt at the entrance. This goes the same for the base, the ergonomic shape paired with the new Super Soft silicone makes the base the most comfortable I have experienced with any plug.

Use

I really enjoyed the Severin Super Soft. The unique shape is something we haven’t experience in a plug before and we adore the new Super Soft silicone by Tantus. The plug is not to tall which has been an issue with others, they create a stabbing feeling deep inside when inserted. I really enjoyed the size of the medium, it is both stretching but not to challenging, it is a toy we can use together in the moment without a needing to warm up beforehand.

If anything, the Severin Medium has become a great warm up toy. The bulging ridges perfect for adapting to larger diameter toys, allowing to gradually overcome the 1.5” and 2” marks as you overcome each hump. Unlike a traditional butt plug which gradually gets larger, these ridges are more abrupt and noticeable. Although the ridges are well defined they are not as intense as other toys of the same shape and size. The soft density of the silicone takes away from the texture in some regard, but at a toy this size it is not always a bad thing. If I had to categorize it would be a gentler experience overall.

Using the Severin Super Soft is not about thrusting texture, but a general building towards fullness. It is a stretching that is gentle, and forgiving. It allows you to overcome one bulging hump at a time, while the soft silicone offers enough give to help along the way.

Once it is fully inserted is extremely comfortable. I do not use plugs for long time wear but I can see the Super Soft Severin being a great choice. When full inserted plug stays in with now issue and we find it offers fullness without sacrificing comfort, the soft silicon almost meshing with our bodies. Unlike other plugs which are rigid, the Severin Super Soft is forgiving, while moving around we never once felt poking or prodding inside.

Overall, we really like it the Severin Super Soft for what it is. A squishy plug with some size. We love it for warming for other toys, as well as using it during our usual sex sessions together. It is comfortable and unobtrusive and an all in all great plug.

Cleaning Instructions

The 100% Ultra Premium Silicone used is nothing but quality. As with any silicone toy the options are plentiful when it comes to cleaning.  Tantus suggests:

For a quick clean, use antibacterial soap with warm to hot water, or use a toy cleaner (one without Triclosan!).

For a more extensive clean, you can boil your toy for 2 minutes, with enough water to cover. You can also spray or rinse your product in a 10% bleach solution. Do NOT boil bleach.

To clean toys with grooves, crevices, and texture, you may put your product in the dishwasher on a regular cycle on the bottom rack.

Let air dry, or clean with a lint free cloth.
