The Details
The bSwish Bbold premium is a rechargeable vibrator constructed of silicone coated ABS plastic. Despite the use of premium materials in the construction the toy itself feels cheap, despite the $70 retail price. Dividing the toy in half is a rounded contrasting silicone trip that makes for disrupting ridge along the length of the entire toy. The toy measures in at 7.4” with a delicate curve in between the controller side and the vibrating end. The vibrating end is a 1.5” wide ellipse, with a small indent that is meant to surround the clitoris.
The bBold offers 7 functions of vibrations, three constant speeds and 4 varying patterns that are easily cycled through by a single button. Despite our dislike for the toy it does offer some great features such as USB charging and waterproof capabilities.
Use
Every time we receive a toy to review it is almost like a mini Christmas. We are always excited to open up the package and get a hands on look at the product. For the most part toys can maintain this excitement up through the first use, the bBold did not. The flattened spoon like shape, the large ridge running around the middle of the toy, and the buzzy vibrations seemed like a perfect storm of disappointment.
The shape of the vibrating portion does not lend itself well to insertion. Ignoring the shape, even the slightest grip on toy is enough to hinder any vibrations that are going on. By foregoing a more insertable friendly shape the bBold premium pigeonholes itself into being a clitoral vibrator. Personally, I feel if a toy is only doing one thing, it should do that thing well. When it comes to the bBold that is just not the case.
When it came to our first use Harper gave it a go and could only respond with “is that as high as it goes?”. The buzzy vibrations top out at three speeds, the highest of which still rings from the “earth shattering” description on the bSwish website. Despite Harper’s love for more powerful vibrations such as the We-vibe Tango or the Magic Wand, I would still hesitate to recommend the bBold to those who prefer much calmer vibrations. There simply is large number of alternatives out there, that would better suit most people.
