If you have not read our other review from the Avant line, the D4 Sexy in Pink review, I recommend checking it out. The D4 is slightly larger toy in the Avant line and there is sure to be some overlap between the toy when it comes to reviewing.
Much like the Blush Novelties Avant D4, the D2 Purple Rain shares that same wonderful suction cup we loved so much. It is such a small detail when it comes to the overall toy but the added versatility makes you wonder why every toy doesn’t have one.
As we work our way to the tip of the shaft we see those same crisp contrasting lines we saw in the D4, except this time they are in various shade of purple. The effect remains as wonderful as before making the Avant D2 a beautiful toy to look at.
Unlike the D4, there is not much when comes to texture along the shaft. Instead we are given a slightly curved shaft with a diameter around 1.45”, leading up bulbous head atop the shaft. This one is less aggressive and smaller than the D4 with a gentle sloping top which is perfect for stroking the G-spot/Prostate.
Use
This is the toy I never knew I needed. When it comes to picking out dildos I usually go for a little larger around 1.75” leaving a gap in our collection in the 1.5” size. Pairing that with the softer silicone of the Blush Novelties Avant line and we get a toy that Harper actually enjoys using.
She is usually the first to shy away from the new toys we receive, and instead clutches to her Magic Wand. But the beautiful looks of the Avant D2, gentle curves, and soft silicone had Harper anxious to give it a try. Using the suction cup base makes mounting the dildo as convenient as can be and free us to do other things than focus on the dildo.
This makes the Blush Novelties Avant D2 hands down my favorite dildo to use on Harper. The softness and smaller diameter makes it much less taxing for her to use, and I would recommend it for those who are intermediates when it comes to toy sizes both vaginally and anally. The soft silicone is so forgiving that makes the Avant such a gentle dildo to use and a mainstay when it comes to using toys together.
Cleaning Instructions
The 100% Ultra Premium Silicone used is nothing but quality. As with any silicone toy the options are plentiful when it comes to cleaning. Tantus suggests:
For a quick clean, use antibacterial soap with warm to hot water, or use a toy cleaner (one without Triclosan!).
For a more extensive clean, you can boil your toy for 2 minutes, with enough water to cover. You can also spray or rinse your product in a 10% bleach solution. Do NOT boil bleach.
To clean toys with grooves, crevices, and texture, you may put your product in the dishwasher on a regular cycle on the bottom rack.
Let air dry, or clean with a lint free cloth.
