I will preface this by saying I am no way an expert in bondage rope. It is fun approaching a product as a newbie without strong background knowledge we bring to many of reviews. But I do hope you enjoy you enjoy our exploration with bondage rope as much as we have.

Rope Background

When Harper and I first experimented with bondage, we headed off to our nearest harbor freight and purchased some fun looking glow in the dark rope. At a little over five dollars for 100’ it seemed like a great deal. But we soon found out why bondage rope is in its own category.

I have always been in awe of the beauty and utility of rope bondage and Shibari styling. I have looked over books such as those offered by Twisted Monks, and grew a great appreciation for the art.

With our new rope in hand I set off to emulate the pictures, but the solid core of the rope made tying the knots we saw in pictures both cumbersome and difficult. The knots were bulky and did not hold as well as we thought, and the experience did not excite us for more rope bondage. The frustration led us to go with Velcro Cuffs and other simpler bondage accessories, which lack the artistic beauty of rope bondage.

Our New Rope

Fast forward to now and we are the proud owners of our very own Bondage Rope. Silky smooth, flexible, holds a knot well, and is overall a joy to use. We can work the rope quickly with minimal discomfort, as dragging the rope across the skin does not create that friction burn feeling so often associated with rope.

RGN Toys offered us 30′ of a charming black and blue rope for review, but other colors are offered. We have found 30′ feet to be an almost industry standard rope length and if you are interested in the safety specifications of said rope you can find those values here. When performing bondage it is highly recommended to have a pair of safety sheers. RGN Toys also offers this product, and it would wise to pick up a pair if you plan on experimenting with rope. It is a cheap price to pay for such a vital safety item.

The sold braid is strong, oil and water resistant, low stretch, durable, attractive, and easy to care for. The rope can be tossed into the washing machine no problem. As a beginner this has everything, we need to get started without diving too far in financially.

Tying each other up is always a joy, and with our new rope we found ourselves exploring deeper into bondage. We have tried harnesses, column ties, collars, and we have yet to come back with a complaint for this rope.

The rope has in no way held us back from accomplishing our bondage goals, and the only thing we could wish for is another 30’ set.

Conclusion

When it comes to reviewing something as simple as a rope, we do run into an issue of how deep go. The rope ties, does so comfortably, and looks good doing it.  What it really boils down to is that the Agreeable Agony ¼” MFP Rope is everything we could have wanted in a bondage rope. Now of course we are not professional riggers, but we are two people who have a great time tying each other up with our new Bondage Rope.
